Eso Tre and Subz are L.A. duo Substance Abuse, presenting the RCKLSS ABNDN-directed music video for the Waes One and Philm One-produced single “Bridges”, featuring Aceyalone of Freestyle Fellowship. Former URB Next 100 picks, their 2006 album Overproof (Bandcamp) featured MF DOOM, Saafir,
and Thes One on Weapon Shaped Records. Their debut album, Overproof, was released in 2006, and features cameos from Kool Keith, MF Doom, Motion Man, Saafir, and Rasco. The album received four stars in URB and Scratch Magazine.
The duo Where inspired by listening to their mentor (Organized Konfusion) and (De La Soul) play while growing up. They wanted to be a sort of West Coast Native Tongues incarnation. Jazz based and lyrical, that's the type of hip hop they love.
